Ulverston is set to sparkle as the whole town gathers for the much-loved Annual Christmas Lights Switch-On, which takes place at 4pm on Saturday 29th November 2025.

As part of the town's famous and enchanting Dickensian Festival, Market Cross will once again become the heart of the celebration, filled with festive cheer, Victorian charm, and the warm glow of community festive spirit.

Cllr Shirley-Anne Wilson, will be the lady with the switch, proudly illuminating the town’s Christmas lights, casting a magical glow over the cobbled streets, and welcoming the start of the festive season in the town.

Families, friends, visitors, and locals are all warmly invited to join in the countdown, soak up the atmosphere, and share in one of Ulverston’s most treasured traditions.
