Job Description

Westmorland and Furness Council are looking for a skilled and motivated Traffic Management Technician to join our Traffic Management Team in South Lakeland.

Our team plays a vital role in designing and delivering traffic management and road safety schemes, progressing both Temporary and Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs/TTROs), and providing expert support across the highways service. We are also a key point of contact for Councillors and the public.

In this role, you’ll help turn design plans into practical, deliverable works, supporting consultations, legal processes, and the implementation of safety improvements. You’ll also assist in the delivery of a wide range of traffic and road safety projects that make a real difference to our communities.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: £28,598 - £29,540
