Brass & Blaise
Dynamic Trip Hop duo
Hailing from Cumbria, Brass & Blaise are taking the genre to a whole other level!
After a chance meeting in May 2024 Dom (Brass) asked Lou (Blaise) if she would have a go at putting some vocals to a couple of his tracks, little did he know it would start an amazing new adventure and he would gain not only an awesome vocalist to bring his music to life, but an annoying little sister too!
This duo blends Trip Hop beats with soulful jazz and puts it together to make songs that stick in your head and lyrics you’ll never forget.
Brapscallion is Preston-based multi-instrumentalist producer James Hodgson, who blends dusty hip-hop, jazz-hop and lo-fi house into warm, spacey electronic music. Built around groove and texture, the sound leans into a late-night mood, or early morning hazy energy. , jazzy chords, swung drums, bass funk and small sci-fi synth details, all layered and woven into something familiar yet different..
His debut album Alchemy arrives April 3 via Waxing Crescent Records. The record was built slowly and intentionally over the past couple of years, shaped by a love of diving through dusty records and understated dancefloor movement. It’s music for late nights and lazy mornings with coffee. Head-nod hip-hop energy with an atmospheric edge.
Aoire is the latest solo version of experimental musician and sound artist Shaun Blezard. Aoire creates music with cassette tapes, live sampling and effects pedals that has all the hiss, wow and flutter of the cassette format building pastoral dissonance and ambient soundscapes in real time.
