Welcome to the Poetry Open Mic night for Mind in Furness!
Join us at Barrow Underground Music Society (B.U.M.S) for an evening of creativity and expression as we come together to raise money for local Mental Health services.
Whether you're a seasoned poet or just starting out, this event is the perfect opportunity to share your work in a supportive environment. Listen to fellow poets, snap your fingers, and enjoy the mental health benefits of spoken word!
The night will be hosted by local poet Caleb Staps, whose work explores themes of youth, modern life, and mental health. Caleb’s work has been featured on BBC Sounds along with many zines and open mics.
All proceeds from the night will go to Mind in Furness, who work to ensure anyone in the Furness area with a mental health problem gets the help and support they deserve.
Let's come together to celebrate the beauty of poetry and support a great cause.
We will have some free/discounted tickets at the door for people on low incomes.
See you there!
