Job Description

A very exciting opportunity has arisen for a reliable, trustworthy, and hard-working Chef /Manager to lead our team at a well-established and highly respected takeaway operating at the pinnacle of the takeaway food industry which has proudly served the community for over 30 years. Kitchen Wizard is no ordinary takeaway and never will be.

As the new owners, we are continuing the legacy of quality food, ingredients and excellent customer service with the intention of expanding what the busess presently offers, building on an incredible foundation to offer an enhanced menu, extended opening hours, delivery service and restaurant and bar. The previous owner, who personally prepared all the food, has built a fantastic reputation—and we’re looking for the right person to carry that forward, and co-ordinate all kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the kitchen team in all aspects of service, from preparation to plating, ensuring outstanding food quality and presentation
  • You will co-ordinate food ordering, stock control, food preparation, and the delivery of all kitchen operations
  • Ensure consistency in quality
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations, setting the standard for food safety in the kitchen
  • Guide, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to unlock their capabilities, nurturing a positive work environment
  • Organise staff, including rotas and sending hours to accountant for payroll.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience preparing fast food, mainly pizzas and burgers
  • Butchery and baking experience
  • A confident leader who can motivate and manage a team with good communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and a can-do enthusiastic attitude
  • Reliability and punctuality – someone we can count on
  • High attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Thorough knowledge of good safety and hygiene regulations
  • Food hygiene certificate
