Job Description
At St Mary’s Hospice, food is more than food. It’s comfort, care, and sometimes the highlight of someone’s day. From a favourite pudding to a simple cuppa, your meals will bring dignity, love, and comfort to patients, families and visitors.
Your day might include:
Cooking specials, soups, quiches, pies, and scrummy cakes.
Preparing tailored meals for patients’ likes and needs.
Running a lively lunch service (40–90 covers) with the team.
Helping with afternoon teas, the salad bar… and if needed, even washing up!

£14.06 an hour, annual salary £20,471.36
We will also consider a 14 hour a week
Job Share or an Apprentice Chef
(apprentice rate of pay will apply if training)
