CSI Team Leader

Cumbria Police, Barrow

We are looking for a full-time, permanent CSI Team Leader to join our team based in Barrow, with county-wide responsibilities.

We're inviting applications from:

Experienced CSI first-line managers

Crime Scene Managers (CSMs)

Trainee CSMs with significant CSI experience

If you don’t yet hold a College of Policing accredited CSM qualification, you’ll be supported to complete the training and development plan within two years.

As a CSI TL, you’ll:

Lead and support forensic investigations across volume, serious, and major crime scenes

Be familiar with the Forensic Science Regulator’s Statutory Code

Cover weekend shifts, out-of-hours standby, and extended duties as needed

Provide biometric data for elimination purposes and undergo enhanced vetting

We’re looking for someone with:

Strong communication skills

Individual resilience

The ability to critically evaluate complex information.
